D-Zolve 338 Paint and Coating Remover

  • Replaces Hazardous Chemicals
  • Minimizes Health Hazards
  • Minimizes Environmental Hazards
  • Does not Require Special Equipment

  • Designed for use in immersion tanks and wipe-off paint removal applications, D-Zolve 338 is an industrial grade paint and powder coating stripper and remover which replaces chlorinated and other hazardous stripping solvents. Application of D-Zolve 338 does not require any costly equipment such as burn-off or blasting systems. In addition, it does not result in the need for wastewater treatment, dust-control, or air scrubbing equipment.

    Minimizes Health and Safety Hazards
D-Zolve 338 is designed to minimize health and safety hazards. It contains no halogens and no CFCs. It is non-flammable, non-carcinogenic, non-corrosive, and non-ozone depleting. A slow evaporator, it presents no air polluting potential. Compatible with VOC regulations, D-Zolve 338 is not photochemically reactive as defined, for example, by California and South Coast Rule 102. With 0.8 vapor pressure it is below the specified limit and meets VOC exempt status in most states.

    Stripping with D-Zolve 338
D-Zolve 338 will strip such paints such as alkyds, epoxies and polyurethanes. It will also strip a wide range of coatings including powder coatings, lacquers, varnishes, and vinyl plastisols. In addition, it can be used to remove asphalt, graffiti, adhesive deposits and printing inks.
D-Zolve 338 breaks the chemical bond between a paint or coating and the substrate. D-Zolve 338 can be safely used on aluminum, steels, tins, copper, and most other ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Devoid of any water content, it will not promote oxidation. The stripping time required will vary depending upon the number of layers and the thickness of the paint or coating.

    Reusable
D-Zolve 338's useful life is much longer than most chlorinated and hazardous stripping solvents. To further keep waste to a minimum, it is designed to be reused. When used in an immersion tank, stripped particles will drop to the bottom of the tank. Using a meshed screen basket, this waste can be collected and removed, enabling D-Zolve 338 to be reused for an extended period of time.

    Will not Re-adhere
Unlike chlorinated strippers, D-Zolve 338 is designed to neutralize bonding properties. Once saturated with D-Zolve 338, a paint or coating cannot re-adhere.

    A Safe Workplace
When placing parts into a stripping tank, or removing them, proper protective gear should be worn. Goggles to protect eyes from splashes, gloves to protect hands, and a smock or apron to prevent clothing from getting wet are recommended. For further safety information consult the D-Zolve 338 MSDS.
