Solvent Kleene offers aviation grade immersion, spray and gel depainters for removing paint from aircraft and aircraft components such as landing gear, landing gear components and wheels. Aircraft depainters meet the stringent requirements of industry standards including Boeing D6-17487M and USAF 83936C.
Our depainters contain no chlorinated components or known carcinogens. They are designed to be long lasting with slow evaporation rates and adhere to vertical and under wing surfaces to improve the ease of paint removal.
D-Zolve™ 15-33R is a brush-on or spray-on depainter which removes Powder Coating, E-Coating and paint. High viscosity properties enable it to cling to vertical surfaces. D-Zolve 15-33R conforms to Boeing DG-1748 M and is approved for the use by the U.S. Air Force. It removes aircraft paints which include epoxy primer and cross-linked polyurethane including Mil P 23377 epoxy or TTP 2760 flexible polyurethane and Mil C85285 polyurethane topcoat, fluid resistant BMS 10-60-H, BMS 10-7-9 and Desothane 62217 as well as top coats with high solids. D-Zolve 15-33R can be safely used with Aluminum, Magnesium, Stainless Steel, Carbon Steel, Cadmium Coated Steel and Titanium. It contains no chlorinated components, no peroxides and is non acidic and non-flammable. It’s very slow to evaporate and with a vapor pressure below 0.07 is technically a non-VOC. Best results are obtained at ambient temperature above 76°F/24°C.
D-Zolve™ 15-33 IM is an immersion depainter used in a dip tank heated to 135°F/57°C. It meets the chemical requirements for safely removing coatings from aircraft wheels, landing gear components and other support equipment parts. Immersing parts in D-Zolve removes several layers of a difficult to strip epoxy, flexible polyurethane, polyurethane topcoat or fluid resistant coating. D-Zolve 15-33 IM fully conforms to T.O. 1-1-8 and meets the specifications set by USAF Mil PRF.83936C. It has passed the corrosion, flammability, hydrogen non-embrittlement and paint removal performance standards. D-Zolve 15-33 IM is suitable for use with aluminum, magnesium, cadmium plated steel and other ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Designed to minimize health and environmental risks, it has no chlorinated components, no peroxides, is non-acidic as well as non-carcinogenic and features a long active life and slow rate of evaporation.
