D-Zolve 917 Removes "CARC" - Chemical Agent Resistant Coating
D-Zolve™ Mil Spec CARC Remover is a fast acting, paint and powder coating remover. Designed for use in an immersion tank at low temperatures, it removes paints and powder coatings by penetrating the cured layers and breaking the bond between the coating and the substrate. D-Zolve eliminates the need for costly burn-off, blasting or heating to high temperatures.
Easy-to-Use
D-Zolve’s unique properties enable it to penetrate several layers of a coating when parts are immersed in the solution. D-Zolve softens the finish layer, breaking the chemical bond that adheres these layers to the substrate's surface and causing the layers to delaminate and fall to the bottom of the tank.
While many strippers require heating to temperatures as high as 200°F to be effective, D-Zolve CARC Remover needs a maximum temperature of 135-140°F. It eliminates the need for higher energy consumption, high temperature heating and costly, time-consuming removal processes such as sand or shot blasting and burn-off.
D-Zolve is able to quickly remove cross-linked coatings, epoxy primers, polyurethane topcoats, powder coatings and other difficult to remove coatings without requiring any additional steps. Heating to 140°F and agitation of the D-Zolve solution can be used to facilitate the removal of difficult to strip coatings.
D-Zolve CARC Remover can be diluted with water or used as a concentrate. Solids that drop to the bottom of the tank can be filtered out to extend the solution's useful life. Diluting and filtering reduces replenishment costs.
Minimizes Health and Safety Hazards
Designed to minimize both health and environment risks, D-Zolve CARC Remover is non-flammable, non-toxic and non-carcinogenic. D-Zolve CARC Remover does not contain any ozone depleting components.
Material compatibility
D-Zolve can be used on a wide range of painted ferrous and non-ferrous metals including: aluminum, copper, brass, stainless steel and carbon steel as well silicone substrates. D-Zolve strips difficult to remove CARC powder coatings that meet MIL-DTL-53072 requirements and CARC liquid paints that meet MIL-STL-53072 requirements.
